आपण भुतकाळातील मालकीविषयी प्रश्न विचारण्यासाठी have सह did वापरतो.
हि रचना नेहमीच्या किंवा कायम स्थितीच्या संदर्भात वापरलि जाते.
म्हणून did have (होते/ वे लागले) चा वापर करून प्रश्नाची रचना अशी आहे-
- Did + subject + have + remaining words + question mark (?)
- डिड + कर्ता (कोणताही- एकवचनी किंवा अनेकवचनी नाम) + हॅव+ उर्वरित शब्द+ प्रश्न चिन्ह (?)
येथे काही उदाहरणे आहेत. वाक्यरचना वरीलप्रमाणे आहे.

- Did she have musical instruments last night? काल रात्री तिच्याकडे वाद्ये होती का?
- Did those boys have drawing books to draw a design? त्या मुलांकडे डिझाईन काढण्यासाठी चित्रकारी पुस्तके होती का?
- Did she have golden bangles? तिच्याकडे सोन्याच्या बांगड्या होत्या का?

- Did you have a blue skirt at the party? पार्टीत तुझ्या अंगावर निळा स्कर्ट होता का?
